An eventful weekend. The middle order rose to the occasion and Mwamba scraped a win through. Despite Impala fielding all its players due to leave for Casablanca on Sunday (I don't know whether this is allowed), they failed to click and squandered a myriad of chances against a Mwamba outfit that had exhausted all its energy, efforts and ideas by the 50th minute of the game. The following day Quins also had to dig deep into their resolve to avoid a similar fate against Machine. Having scored four tries in the first half, they promptly went to sleep and allowed Machine to dictate the pace of the 2nd half, almost making a contest of the match!
Nakuru also survived a nasty scare, and from 22-6 at half time, Strathmore came to within 6 points before they also died off. I think the second half of the league is going to be very interesting. Nondies, I just don't know what to say.. a major disappointment, but maybe their steam has run out. But KCB seem to be in fine form and have run away with the league at this stage. I will post the league tables once I get them, but it should be KCB on top, followed by Nakuru, Impala and Quins in that order. Mwamba remain at 5th with Nondies 6th and Strathmore and Machine yet to score a collect a point.
Do have a good week.
