phase of the IRB 7's in Wellington and Las Vegas. This round however
the team will start off in Australia where they play in a moneyed
tournament in Darwin : Hottest 7's in the World.
An analaysis of the squad is as follows (did not do one last time as
was engrossed in my mama's graduation and did not watch properly):
Tried and tested and worth the money:
Kayange, Weru, Asego, Simiyu, Ashioya, Oduor and Injera.
Simiyu is now part of this group having upped his game ever since the
World Cup.
Improving but dependable:
Nyikuki, Horace and Adema
Nyikuki is steadily regaining the form he had when he first appeared.
Now he needs to be a match winner like Oduor.
Horace is reliable but should aim higher.
Question Marks?
Nyambu and Amonde
Nyambu despite being a starter at times needs to really improve his
game. He is the teams most expensive player in terms of turnovers and
penalties conceeded. Can Ayimba continue to tolerate this?
Amonde must learn to catch a ball: Simple.
Reserves
Mwanja, Agunda, Adongo, Onyango
Good luck in breaking into the team.
Dropped
K'Opondo and Kanyi
Why drop Kopo? He needs another chance. Machine will gain with him at floodies.
Still we wish the Kenya 7's success and come back with okombe this
time. My mama and I will be rooting for you guys kawaida.
