In their pursuit of sponsors KRFU seems to have zealously pursued some
questionable characters and brought them aboard their so called
'Friends of Kenya Rugby' bedroom. This time the sponsor in bed with
KRFU is Kampala Coach. This entity has signed up yet again with KRFU
for the Bamburi Super Series Rugby. And what a disater and fiasco of
embarrassment it has been. This past weekend saw players stranded in
Nairobi to Arusha, Kampala to Nairobi and Mumias to Kampala. The
Rhinos and Uganda ll (Victoria) suffered the most at the hands of this
dubious bus company. Promises of free World Cup tickets in South
Africa seem to have compromised the KRFU and Bamburi organisers to
give exclusive transportation rights to Kampala Coach. A top KRFU
official known for engaging in reckless previous transport and travel
arrangements involving Kenya teams is said to have vigorously fronted
for Kampala Coach to get the deal. Last year Kampala Coach did abandon
a team that was going to play in the local sevens circuit not once but
twice times. Just who are this Kampala Coach and why do they want to
destroy Kenya Rugby? How much money has changed hands here? Say NO to
Kampala Coach and YES to better transport and player welfare.

I feel sorry for those who will go to SA with this company. During the 7s circuit Mwamba RFC were left at River road at 2:00 a.m. and now all this.
Luckily they did not mess around with machine or we would have sorted them out ABSOLUT!
Teams should abandon this bullshit company.
OMG!!! This is serious and there is absolutely no courtesy here. There are so many companies out there....wait a minute there have to be two sides to this coin cum story...

Last year, Kisumu RFC had to complain on how they missed their transport to Mombasa via the same "official sponsor" bus, But the Kisumu RFC Official was brushed aside as just another heckler.
Did it really have to take a big team to suffer for all their cries to be heard?..
I think whatever deal that brought this "sponsorship" to rugby should be shamed and brought to book.
When you say tickets being offered to South Africa for the world cup, you seem to know who the persons are. Why don't you just name them?
I think its about time such dubious characters are exposed.
To say the least, i pity the people who are travelling with this bus to south africa. Or anywhere for that matter.
There are also stories of walalos using the bus to go with to South Africa. I really pity anyone going with it to south africa.

its all very kienyeji and until it stops being kienyeji, we like in all aspects of being kenyan will continue dreaming of playing in the rugby world cup, and continue supporting the all blacks e.t.c.....zero self belief / ambition
