Impala playing broker for Homeboyz entry to Kenya Cup

The KRFU are today holding a special general meeting in a move engineered by Impala RFC a.k.a. IRB (Impala Rugby Business). The KRFU secretariat of whom 3/4 are Impala at heart have engineered an SGM to get Homeboyz and a host of other clubs affiliated to the KRFU finally. Eryck Situma a KRFU employee is pushing for Homeboyz affiiation.

The move part of Peter Nduati and Max Muniafu's campaign strategy will see them have a higher number of votes than the Mwangi Muthee camp. Nduati is gunning for the Chairmanship with Muniafu as his running mate while Muthee is undecided whether to rope in Paul Nyamodi or go it alone. Nduati has struck a deal with Sabwa that will see him untouched while Fred Odhiambo the vice-chair will be forsaken.

Other deals will see Musangi and Sadik returning as directors and in return Omwela gets to be the Safari Sevens Ltd and Kenya Rugby Ltd Executive Chairman. Omwela has vowed to punish Mwamba and Quins for embarassing him the Sevens Circuit issue when he had thrown them out but later backtracked and threw the blame on Sabwa. Myke Rabar Homeboyz CEO has also been promised a seat on the board and exclusive radio and water rights for all KRFU events.

In the Impala camp are Nakuru, KCB, Kisumu and Strathmore as these are the clubs that have signed the Homeboyz letter and other clubs. Muthee will rely on Mean Machine as his vote getters in his lone ranger shot. Quins in their normal fashion will go it alone. Sasha Mutai former director will be co-opted back to the board and returned to his sevens slot. Omwela has negotiated for his return.

Other clubs that "IRB" have lobbied for to be affiliated are Siaya, Kisii, Webuye, Mumias, Kakamega, Mbale, Mtaa Nairobi, Mtaa Mombasa, Mtaa Nakuru, Spartans, Shepherds, Kitale, Maseno University, Masinde Muliro, Catholic University, KCA, KEMU and Oryx. All this is in a letter written by Impala to the KRFU within the same office.

Some of the letters going round are posted below.

Gentlemen,
Further to earlier discussions, Homeboyz RFC have requested Impala to call for an SGM (see attached letter).
If and when Impala write to KRU, we need your support by having Your Club Secretary/Chairman writing to the secretary of the Union supporting the same before close of business tomorrow.
Kindly reply with a brief note signifying you intent to write to KRU if Impala were to respond affirmatively.
Regards,
Erick Situma
Homeboyz RFC

AFFILIATION OF HOMEBOYZ RFC WITH THE KENYA RUGBY UNION

Homeboyz RFC hereby kindly requests consideration as affiliates with the Kenya Rugby Union. As adviced during a club representatives meeting held a few weeks ago, Homeboyz have petitioned a minimum 5 Rugby clubs to requisition a special meeting to consider the matter.

The request is in light of the disappointment endured by Homeboyz RFC at the end of of the 2010 season that saw the team loose out on promotion to the Kenya Cup League despite having won the ESS competitions by virtue of not being affiliated to KRU. We thus feel it would be considerate to begin the 2010/2011 league competions having affiliated Both Homeboyz RFC and other ESS teams that were consistent in the previous season.

Attached is a letter from Impala requisitioning for the General meeting for Wednesday 11th of August 2010 as from 5:30pm at the Union Offices. Below is correspondence from supporting clubs. Kindly consider and advice way forward.

Regard

Erick Situma
Homeboyz RFC
Rugby Coach/Rugby In-Charge

Seems that IRB have taken complete control - soon they will even control the referees and the security guards at the Union.

Quins will always be sure, strong, superior! no time for hanging around

Is there a code of conduct for KRU employees. Surely it is unethical to draw salaries from KRU (which is a servant of all clubs) and then also be on the payroll of a single club

Why does Home boys have to use Impala to petition KRFU?Can't they be considered in their own merit dealing with KRFU whose interest should be to get more affiliate clubs?

Homeboyz just sought a big brother to help them out, nothing wrong with that.

Lets not forget what the union did to them... letting them play a whole season in ESS, then refusing to promote them on the basis of affiliation? Totally unfair!

A bunch of disgruntled individuals anonymously hiding. Come out in public and lay your issues on the table instead of hiding in cyberspace. You are hypocrites of the highest order with nothing constructive to offer Kenyan Rugby if you were give the chance to. Whine, whine until the piece of shit stuck in your rectum comes out.

@Mutegi... sounds like u r the one whining... try some fiber... might help with the constipation...

The odd thing is that - if indeed Homeboyz sought help from Impala - the same Impala fellows in the Union office are the ones that refused to promote them last season...
Maybe it's time they made amends for past sins?
