Weekend Games

Kenya Cup action resumes this weekend with 3 matches, two teams as usual on a break. Defending champions Nivea Harlequins face second placed Strathmore University Leos at RFUEA, Nondescripts will host a depleted Impala and Mwamba will play Mean Machine, most probably at Campus Impala grounds.

A reader encouraged me to give reasons for my calls and I'll give it a shot. Harlequins over Strathmore by 10. The sheer weight and power of Quins will take control in the second half. Also Quins have a very strong bench that ensures they get stronger as the game progresses. Strathmore will fade away as they make changes. Nondies/Impala will be tough. I believe Impala have great depth as they field sides in 3 competitions, however, losing half your first team is no mean feat. They will struggle with the intensity of Kenya Cup rugby, so I see Nondies win this one by 10 points as well. I expect Mwamba to win by 10 points over Machine. Machine are struggling to find consistency and with Mwamba's open play interspersed with intense physical contact, they are bound to struggle, particularly at the break down.

Do have a good weekend and enjoy your rugby. Please welcome our newest blogger - Women's Rugby, as we await his maiden post. We are still willing to accept other potential bloggers.

Cheers DataMiner.
Here goes mine!
Nondies - Impala
Impala by 10. Even with the missing players, I believe Impala will be too strong for Nondies. Impala still have a formidable pack that will outplay an otherwise weak Nondies pack.
Machine - Mwamba
Mwamba by more than 12
I have watched Mwamba play against Impala,KCB & Quins. They will have a bit too much for a very young machine side that is in the rebuilding stage.
Quins - Strathmore
Quins by more than 15.
This game can be a very tight one if Quins are complacent. But if they are to continue to play the way they have in the past 2 fixtures, it will be over by halftime!
LETS CHAT MONDAY!

Predicting and forecasting is a waste of time...
"The only thing you can tell about the forecasts is the nature of the forecaster."

Dear Ocampo..

No, the "prophetic game" results are not tickling me in the wrong way.

Just concerned you are spending too much of your time analyzing white liquid in a bottle.

There is a Were at Homeboys, Mwamba, Moi University - we are many.
