Back to three matches as some teams take a break. The headline match will pit reigning champions Quins against previous champions Impala in a long running grudge match. As I said in my ramble this week, this game seems to have more significance to the fans than the players or coaches themselves. Match will be at the RFUEA ground. Other matches will be Machine at home to Nakuru and Strathmore will host KCB at Impala Club. Taking a break are Mwamba, who however will be in Uganda for the Hima Tens and Nondies. A national Sevens team will also be taking part in the Dune 7's in Namibia as scooped here weeks ago.
MinerData chickened out on me last weekend but here I go. In the highlight match, it will be fast, furious, and hot tempered. Both sides do not like the ref on the day, but one perceives him to favor the other. I reserve my comments on his officiating. That aside I'm sure the better team on the day will win and I give this to Quins by 4 points. They are coming from a rough weekend whilst Impala have been on a roll and that may just play against them. The forwards battle will be even and Impala will have the edge in the backs. Maybe a missed kick here or there will decide this one. Machine Nakuru will also be close, I give Nakuru by a score. I think they are hungrier than Machine for this. And KCB will run over Strathomore.. no reasons needed.
Do have a good weekend and enjoy your rugby. I know I'll enjoy mine.

How can the forwards be even, Impala have the advantage in the backs yet quins emerges victorious?? be real my man
Is it true that Abuoga is going to Impala??????
True, Quins forwards are way ahead by any metric (even subjective ones...)
This one is Quins' to lose, and the adrenaline alone won't let that happen.
Impala will beat Quins.Buyachi,Hawk will be too much plus Namcoco, Nato, Dan Weku, pole Quins..sorry Queens
Ati this one is quins to lose..hahaahaha!, Quins are surely full of themselves.
The game is played in 80min with 15 players +7 subs not 3frontrow players and a kicker, thats the reason why impala is going to win.
have you looked at the teams line ups.And judging by current performance.
I call Impala by 2scores with a bonus
32-20 to impala, error of 5points.
bwahahahahahahahaha! ati a front row and a kicker? btw anon 1.51pm, is this the story where abuoga was to get a job and move to impala? i would take the job and run. abuoga's been out of school 5 years and all he does is win quins cups with nothing in return.
Apologies DataMiner for not giving my predictions last weekend. I will not fail so any more.
For this weekend here goes:
Strath will again be humiliated by KCB. They have been woeful in their last 2 games and seem not to have a clue on how to solve the problem. KCB have a maurauding pack and young, lively backline. I'm calling for KCB to win by more than 50.
Machine - Nakuru pits the 2 tail enders in the league. A loss to any would see them struggle to avoid relegation if it exists.
I will give this one to Nakuru. They will be too physical for a Machine side that played with a lot of passion against a make shift Quins last weekend. Nakuru to win by more than 10.
The game of the weekend Quins - Impala.
Having followed both camps closely this week, its advantage Quins. I believe they have already won the off field games that have taken place.
On the pitch, it will be a cagey affair with both sides testing each other to begin with.
The Quins pack is definately stronger and more cohesive than the Impala one. The battle upfront I give to Quins.
Both team possess strong backlines. In Nato and Namcos, Impala possess undoubtedly 2 of the best top 10 line breakers in the Kenyan game. They will be a constant threat and will have to be neutralised.
Quins on the other hand have lost a very steady rock in the middle of the park in the form of Patrice, but with a backline that includes Sudi,Abuoga and Ashioya, they will still be a massive test for Impala.
After 80 mins, I give it to Quins. They will have the edge at the end of it all.
Quins by 10.
Lets enjoy the rugby, and kill the politics.
Impala by 15
quins are sure, strong superior, fix them till they are no more.
Quins biggest loss is Kopo. It would have been nice to see him fix those gazelles!
As I said earlier (anon 1:56pm) Quins forwards were just too much for the Impala divas (too quick to run away from contact hehehe...)
They set up a good platform for a sizzling backline to used at will, eg tha fastest try this season (57th second), when Impala played a nonsensical forward game of touch-and-go shit and they were quickly bitch-slapped, turned over and ball sent wide to the fastest bacline this season.
It was all downhill for the antelopes from there...
Mamapima I need to see your take, your awfully quiet..........
Impala eat humble pie yet again, when are you going to realize that you cant outdo teams that are run professionally?Even with lox as your technical director backed by his immense 'knowledge' you still fall for the same mistakes over and over again? Ogre for national team head coach!
Machine held Nakuru, so I failed in that prediction.
If I could get to the blog on Saturday afternoon I would have changed my prediction having looked at their makeshift KCB line up for their game against Strathmore. But they still walloped a hapless team.
The Quins results speak for themselves.
Till next week DataMiner.
@MinerData - score surprised me though. Interesting 2nd leg coming up! Nakuru-machine was also interesting..
And the qwhines are out... I didnt know a win over impala tickles your funny like that.. nway good win fat Qhwines.
But dont be too happy as Impala dominated the forwards play, and the impala backs who broke your curtain defense in nearly every phase play, just dint score.
Plus that ref who apparently nowadays drinks at that Qhines bar daily( we all know), really helped you guys to bog the unstoppable impala attack. You guys will be found. Karimi has just killed his reputation, his now a completely incompetent professional referee jester and his biased sidekick Constant Crap. Opong, Leslie and Kiptoo should have been giving atleast a red card for consistent unprofessional play.
The good thing about the lose to impala is and i hope the players are reading this, wake up time. We need to chase the fat ones.
And Crap your day is coming, you will crap your pants.
@mamapima
Incidentally it's not just the refs that enjoy a drink in the best-run rugby clubhouse in the coutry!
Friday before the game, everyone who is anyone at Impala was at Quins for the memorial of a fallen Impala supporter...
I say karibuni nyote! Ama you'll now claim your own coaches and executive came to 'get paid' by the fat Quins hehehe
No harm done though, we still chapa'd you a good one
machine do not, and will not drink at your clubhouse. Even Kopo comes to verandah!
