Weekend Games

Kenya Cup Week 8 and jostling at the top is already taking place. Same at the bottom as people try to avoid the last position that may come with relegation. League leaders Nivea Harlequins travel to Nakuru, Impala host KCB and Nondies are away to Mwamba.

The highlight match will be the clash at Impala Club with Impala stinging from last weekend's defeat to Harlequins and KCB anxious to leapfrog them into second position. Once more I expect an even contest in the forwards and Impala getting the edge in the backs. The missed kicks I spoke about last weekend will still factor in though this time I give the game to Impala by ten points. Impala have very good set and phase play and this will eventually undo KCB. Quins seem to have a hard time playing away going by their struggle two weeks ago over machine but will easily overcome Nakuru as well. I give them a bonus point victory. Mwamba will be too strong for Nondies. I've actually lost faith in the white shirts and they seem to have run out of steam after a loud start.

MinerData, over to you. Do have a good weekend and enjoy your rugby.

Very interesting comments DataMiner.
Here goes:
Mwamba will be too strong for Nondies I agree. The Mwamba pack has been very impressive when I have watched them. I know people talk about their backline, but their forwards have set the platform this year. With Kayange and Horace missing in the Kulabu line, it will be an even contest in the backs I believe with Biko,Bobby, and Kanyi in Nondies.
Mwamba by more than 10.

Nakuru have struggled this season and even against Machine, they were dismal. Having looked at the Quins line up, missing 10 players, I still give it to the champions. They have too much depth and without Weru and Shimenga, Nakuru will be even worse.
Quins will get their bonus point in this one.
The big one - Impala vs KCB
Both teams will be avoiding defeat at all costs. Knowing that a loss and a win for Quins will be a big dent in their title ambitions.
Impala have lost their strongest forwards in Hawk and Buyachi to the team in Sri Lanka. Their present forwards will struggle agaisnt a rampant KCB pack.
If Nato and Namcos dont come to the party, Impala will struggle I believe.
I give this one to KCB by 10 or more.
Only after 80mins shall we know.

I think the both of you have clearly underestimated Nondies. Watch the white shirts record a good win over Mwamba.

2.5 million people to feed over 50 guests! that's outright theft. Give the money to those who win!

Dinner at Laico is about KES 2000 per person, on the higher scale coz Stanley is 1,800.
50 x 2000=100,000. Cost of trophies = probably a donation or at most 50,000.
The room and AP system come as a complementary from the hotel.
Any other expences = I do not know of any.
2.5 million - 150,000= 1.35 million.
Where does that money go?

KRU GM should explain to Kenyans.
