Benja it's time to go! Even at press conferences he's still emmiting his usual arrogance or is it ignorance?new fresh look in that technical bench, bring back the selectors,Mojo,Rombo,Kim and Paul odera as technical director.
Gentlemen, We truly have a serious problem in our hands. What's happening to the Kenyan 7s team? Ata kama its "re-building", the string of losses is simply too much.
I agree, Benjamin Ayimba needs to go so that someone else with fresh ideas can take over and manage rugby talent.
Lavin and Collo were at the CWG,performance was still same-pathetic,Benja is hanging on a thread and he knows it.Free advice to the captain-let the coach go down alone don't join in his arrogant comments about lack of players.A good team can play with any players,Quins have won 3 games in their 7 out of 7 wins without 11 players! save us from all this crap.Impala and mwamba have also been winning without their 'key' players!Benja the sooner you go to h2o the better.
on another note, where were the so called fans on sunday nite? how come this time they were not at the airport? Minitry of Rugby and their likes? ama we are only fans when things are rossy and t-shirt sales are high??
MOR are revising their strategy, as realization of Projected earnings from success of Kenya7s in 2010-11 season look gloom.
Under their new strategy they have printed T-shirt
1. Benja Must Go! 2. Fire Ayimba Ole! 3. Take Benja back to ASR (Ayimba School of rugby). 4. Mwamba inabamba Ayimba habambi Aende 5. Arigi: Coach/Minister of Kenya7s 6. T.O. for T.M.= Success
Haha! Kweke, knowing me will not stop the truth...
nway on other matters, Rumour has it that Omwela of ASR has convened an impromptu BOD meeting to discuss the future and conduct of Benja. Also on the agenda is if he is chomolewad who take over. So far the Godfather of IRB mafioso is rooting for Mitch.
Now my view
Why not meet to put up proper structures so that if you put Mitch he does not turn Kenya 7s into a Strathmore senior side. He could come and put those tuthings called "rugby players" in the national team.
and those are where our problems start. KRU themselves do not know what they want in a coach... so the coach has no answerables to anyone.. but when things go wrong.. change the coach.
Good corporate guidance demands the job has a description and responsibilities.. oh.. and that it's ADVERTISED to give all qualified persons a chance!
who said they are meeting to sack the coach. do u know as per KRU constitution Board has to met atleast once every month. that is what they are doing. if coach comes up as one of the agendas, so be it.
2. what is our country game plan or play style both 15s & 7s?
3.what does the coach expect from the club players to make the team and be up to par both 15s & 7s?
4. what should our schools be teaching the players to work on?
5. what should our clubs teach the players to build on to be international standard?
there is no plan and so there is no direction, there is no direction therefore there is no result.
we must ALL work in the same direction.
when you do good you are praised and patted on the back when you do not do not expect the same treatment, at least not if you want change if it is always ok it will be okay until you will not know when things are going bad.
first half of the first game of the series Ken vs A.Gulf..the gulfies had held us by the balls...and that was a premonition for the rest of the tournament and George i think benja should be axed so that he could get time to go and do his coaching courses he's ideas worked but now i guess they have grown abit stale...i would still say i commend him for the job he did well...i would say bring back githinji as he has worked at this level before mitch or paul'o as asst and TM either or..kim as conditioning coach, now that michael joseph is not in safcom...bring him to run the union as i believe he can pull alot of sponsorship and have the union run abit more proffesionaly...as for selectors..i think the tech bench should do it as they are the ones who will be in direct contact with the ones selected...and i believe we should have a seperate 15s and 7s squad and this is very possible as we have so much talent that needs a chance to be harnessed and seperating them in my opinion would really broaden the chances of this young kids who want to make it big in rugby...but hey...just a personal opinion, dont hang me for it..as for Min of Rugby....mmhh!!
becouse thats when we started getting to teh next level where we can no longer hide with individual brilliance of players but alot of technical. this was a missing link
tony onyango u keep repeating hat text of urs everywhere. there is nothing like a national game plan. what happens is good basics then u put emphasis on a certain area e.g. variations at pace or using forwards

To fire Benja you must fire Omwela of Ayimba school of rugby.
So brace yourself gents for the new era of 7s rugby is here.
Only new guys was Patrice and Ambunya who played very well i must say for rookies.
This are the fruits of his ignorance:
Ignorance number
1. Playing the same players all through a tournament and season
2. Not doing coaching courses to cement and advance his rugby knowledge
3. Arrogance on murky waters
4. Thinking the success from players playing together for a while is due to him
5. To Arrogance to seek help.
6. Having a very lazy assistant
coach
7. Dropping Impala players because he was dropped as Impala coach since he cant coach. (Nato would have covered for Lavin easily)
8. TBC
hehehehe!!!

Pima Oil alaa!
Oh! Despite the mudslinging I can see some valid points here. Okay gents, who are the qualified coaches in Kenya who can take over?
Are we at a level that we require services from a foreign coach?
What is the opportunity cost of firing Benja?
Are things that bad or we just hit a small valley?
Is it th structure wrong or the coaching or both?
We need 6 names of guys who. Can take over?
Omwela and Ayimba have resigned. Sabwa and Gecheo to follow suit after KACC grilling over kit. Ombisi now acting KRU chairman.
AYIMBA TO STAY!!!
Mama Pima we know who you are......!!!
Haha! Kweke, knowing me will not stop the truth...

I will still keep him till end of season and see

Structures make everything a nation, a country, a gorvenment, an organization, a clan, a family, most of all A TEAM!!
we are building but on what?
I like how MOR is on everybody's lips, they are a non-entity, why bother?
We only talk or refer about MOR kama 'Ule Mboch wa neighbour, ule anarasa bigi'. nothing more or else.
Well said Greg, agree with you to some extent.
Why did things start changing once Sasha Mutai pulled out as 7s director.
haha! funny dude.
