Kenya Cup - Week 9

Sorry was MIA for the pre-match post. Factors beyond my control. KCB came close to handing Quins their first defeat of the season but it was not to be. Machine also came close but only too close. Strathmore, well they are trying.

Table standings see Quins on top with the maximum available points. Impala lie second, Mwamba third and KCB fourth. The fixtures as usual have been reshuffled (wonder who is to blame for this afterthought now) but for me it is better this way. No more rest weekends and the last games pit the top four at half time against each other, though this may mean nothing for now as what has happened is now gone.

For our Dubai performance I said it a long time ago. My thoughts... we have a so called Academy that had players last season. Have they moved up into the main squad this season or been discarded? If they are/were not capable of moving up was our selection of them flawed, or were we unable to get them up to scratch. And we again have academy players this season. Just what is this academy if we cannot groom players for tomorrow out of this?

The 1st round is over. The only result that I believe I would have missed out on in the weekends matches was the Machine-Nondies game.

The break will be welcome for many team, and I believe Quins will benefir more than any other team. They have put in the hard work, and have shown it with the results on the pitch. Their last 2 games could hav been a sign of fatigu creeping in,but they still did the business.
I see them being very hard to stop and they should wrap up the league before they finish their fixtures.
Happy holidays to all

Astute analysis Minerdata, me thinks though that the Impala wave will sweep the Qwhine challenge aside. The trophy is definitely set to move further up Ngong Road

MinerData - would have called that wrong also. On rest.. as I said in my pre-season post, those come in the middle, not at the start!! Much needed. Just wondering which teams will be ready to go full blast one week after the holidays?

yes impala guys should stay at the pav why take ur ass down to queens and risk mob justice?? queens are playing well but ur lady like arrogance will be ur down fall. we are a small rugby nation and if we are to move forward we cant be hostile towards eachother as u guys are. ul get whats coming your way soon.

DataMiner....the 1st games after the holidays could be very decisive.
Quins should have no problem over Nondies. Even if the score is tight,Quins will still prevail.
The Impala - Mwamba one will be very interesting. We could have an upset on our hands.
I dont believe KCB have enough to catch up.
8th Jan could be the title decider.
I am totally enjoying the Impala - Quins battle on the log. I wish we would all keep it that way.
Best attack - Impala.
Best defense - Quins.

Lets be discussing these instead of playing politics.

I hate the fat Qwhine...

@ Anon Dec 8 - 11.33am.

One man handing out a can of whoop ass to another man who persisted in trying to push him around is not mob justice.

You Impala louts need to keep your village habits at the pavilion. If you want to mix with normal humanity then behave yourselves otherwise rest assured there is more whoop ass where the last serving came from.

Please tell me who was more hostile, the aggressor who was repeatedly pulled away and asked to keep out of the altercation or the guy who got pissed off at this and worked on the aggressive Gazelle?

Haha! Qwhines, you manage to beat a drunk Nzioka muema and claim victory over Ngong road.

There two things here..

1. Stupid is an Impala who goes to drink at the enemies den. Have you ever seen a FAT Qwhine at Pav????

2. Qwhines, beat Rambo then we will talk.

How the hell do you go drink at quins.. wacha hiyo iwe funzo kwa wewe na wengine wenye tabia mbaya kama hiyo

Mwamba ina Bamba said...

Quins are Sure, Strong and Superior. Impala - at least get an anthem or a theme song

Come all within, come all without...
One more Mwamba...

and then please do not come and drink at your rivals property! stay at home

Quins appreciate quality. If all you have to offer in your kiosk is viceroy and furaha whisky, there is no way you will find the sophisticated Quins hanging around!
Even your own Impala members come over for a quality drink. Instead of hating, come and learn a few things or too. On and off the pitch!!

all this quins talk is crap, wev always known the qwhines to b petty chaps....and as for quins that clubhouse was made with money from the union so give impala pavilion a break,,,,,

The union put zilch into renovating the clubhouse. The clubhouse was renovated through a 6 million shilling sponsorship that Quins secured with EABL. Talk to Locks or Auka at KRU and given their usual lack of discretion, they may show you the copy of the contract that was signed between Quins and EABL

Mahinda,

Go read the sub-lease.

Can you renovate your landlords house and make it a commercial lodging?

okay gentlemen ! when did this post degenerate to this club house wars? we are talking about the game here , teams like homeboys dont have a club house let alone playing grounds and they still perform excellently.

Gerry Mahinda said...

What club house wars? Quins clubhouse vs the Impala Pavirrion is a no-contest. These guys will never learn, arm yourself appropriately before coming to a gunfight. A machete, incidentally is not appropriate armament for a gunfight

mamapima said...

No wonder Qwhines support MOR, you are all thieves.

Homeboyz, you are always welcomed at Pavilion.. we dont discriminate or fight or try to scoop your wifes.

We just drink and have legal fun.

Nziox said...

Can we put this matter to rest? The altercation had nothing to do with rugby. It was not an Impala - Quins thing, just an altercation influenced by alcohol and for personal reasons of pride. 2nd leg beckons, lets get on with it.

This is a reminder:
As a former player (from neutral ground) i can say that this mahindi fellow sounds like, and i can put my money on it (substantial, the bitch who stays at home and cooks with the women when the warriors go out to war (both winners and losers.
