a) Harlequins vs Mwamba - Went as predicted, Quins running away 8 - 11 victors, bonus as predicted b) KCB vs Nondies - prediction was a bit off, no losing bonus for Nondies c) Impala continue to surprise, no depth or heart, laclustre victory against Strathmore, nowhere near the half century score d) Nakuru vs Mean Machine - most improbable result, a second draw in the corresponding fixture. As Jeff Koinange would say - 'you cannot make this stuff up'. Score of 16 - 16. Lowest scoring fixtures with only a total of 42 points scored in two matches.
The dynamics now shift, if KCB beat Impala as expected, then Quins will be the de facto winners of Kenya Cup and will only need to wait the completion of all fixtures for the declaration!!

Mwamba show vulnerability in the backs as their superstars were not up to it, and utter lack of structure in the forwards. Quins on the other hand, turned up the heat in the second half, even as they rested their sevens players, superstars in their own right. Man of the match: Quins Depth.
KCB ground out Nondies by stifling them and scoring whenever a chance presented itself. Nondies came into the game with the attitude that a loss is ok. They realised too late that they could win and 'ran out of time' as their Red Lion poster says. A tragedy of their own making.
Impala have no passion (hope?) for the cup anymore, and just want to do enough to win every week, as they await their revenge game vs Quins, where they will turn up with all they've got. That may be wishful thinking at best, Nondies style.
Nakuru-Machine, as I predicted, very tight but off on the single-digit score. Still waiting for the medical reports ;-) As it is a draw where both teams played with passion, I say congratulations to both Machine and Nakuru.
Mwamba lack focus, were out thought by Quins. Ogre's subs worked for him. Mwamba made subs because making subs is part of the game, no tactics really. Why Quicks is still insisting to play rugby beats logic. The gguy is a vaccum on the pitch. Impala is a dying horse. Resting on past glories doesnt cut it for them. Only one guy wants to play rugby @ Impala, Nato. The rest hav no drive whatsoever. What do you say when you have Bill Githinji in charge? He is a weak coach, controlled by Gangla and Ollows. He has no spine n its showing on the players. Nakuru's streak is about to end. They could beat Mamba but hav no chance against Quins and KCB. I pray dey beat Impala but that no gonna happen. KCB games against Impala and Quins will be massive for them. I see them beat Impala, handing strong, sure, superior Quins the title.
So with Ollows fasttracking Bill Githinji to a level 3 coach questions need to be asked whether he actually deserves to be the new national 15's coach. Impala are struggling in the league and really have no standard. Kinyany on the other hand has a record to speak of and his team doeees the work onthe pitch week in week out. I say Kinyany is the better candidate for national 15's coach anyday. On the other hand Ollows has his own agenda by installing Githinji. Once that is doen the Kenya 15's will go down for sure.
So Mwamba...pliz answer a simple question. Who is your coach? Your technical bench has the chotara guy, tito, john onyango, rombo now TANK plus if you throw in a tired oops sorry retired Kwicks you have a real tower of babel. By the way why was the Mwamba squad reshuffled on Friday night?....lol
if u never noticed. eveyone doing the level 3 was an educator i.e. Tank, Paolo, Bill. Only mitch was not and pulled out halfway. that was the criteria used.
quinsfanaidiot, bill githinji is a weak coach? with at least 5 titles of everything including kenya cup & enterprise cup? more titles than any coach in the kenya game? makes him a weak coach? IDIOT!
@ KWS. kunja ur tail and go hide in the bush! benja won only 2 kenya cups at impala. impala won a 3rd kenya cup in a row while he was chilaxing with the unfit nondies. fala sana!
Impala have done a three pit on both Enterprise and Kenya cup. Githenji was at the helm for all their victories which read five kenya cups and five enterprise trophies. As for Sevens, we were no-where, the bits and pieces were brought to place by Bill. He was coach of the transition period, we got recognition, two world cups, admitted into the full series. think this guy should be respected more than ridiculed.
Don't forget that Githinji is at least 15 years older than Ogre, maybe 20 years older than Mitch......... So he has had more opportunity to 'win' many cups.
Last I checked, teams won trophies, coaches didn't. That's how come Quins was able to win back to back Kenya Cups with Ham in charge. He only thought he was the reason for the team's success. The team knew otherwise

A weak coach? Yes a weak coach
queen lunatic! foolish
Impala coaches are a bunch of hecklers. Quins coaches are professionals. Mwamba coaches are fans. Strath have 'a' coach. Do other teams have coaches?
Remember Bill Githinji failed as Kenya 7's coach and the Impala wins can actually at least 4 of them to Benja.
