Kenya Rugby : Breaking News - KCB fire Tank Otieno
KCB Rugby Club have sensationally fired coach Michael 'Tank' Otieno. The club confirmed parting ways with him and replaced him interimly with Howard Okwemba and Derrick Wamalwa. This could not have happened at a worse time for the celebrated former Kenya 15's fullback who was also quietly but ruthlessly dismissed by the KRU from his national 15's head coach post. The coach who was on a Ksh 360,000 per annum contract with KCB will be remembered for having led the club to three successive Kenya Cups 2005-7 the first time they had ever won the title in their 22 year history. Team Manager Wangila Simiyu was not affected by the changes at the club. Wangila who also doubles up as the national team manager has outlived Tank at both levels. KCB lie fourth in the current Kenya Cup standings and feel that Tank has outlived his usefulness at the club. The University of Nairobi PE Lecturer will now weigh his future options.

i wish him well, and hope he could have been given chance to retire honorably. Not sacked mid season.
