Chairman in place of Richard Omwela. After that the game's status quo
will remain the same with nothing really radical in the way the game
of Kenya Rugby is run.
The game has outgrown the current structures is not in doubt. Even the
sports editorial in todays Standard has highlighted some aspects of
it.
KRFU needs to take the bold step and devolve the running of the game
to see the creation of at least 3 or 4 branches/sub-unions to enhance
regional growth. For example the sub-unions that should be set up are
Nairobi, Western, Nyanza, Rift Valley, Schools and Combined. Combined
will take care of Eastern, Central and Coast as they need to show
growth to develop into full sub-unions.
Over to you KRFU and let's see you take the bold step of actually
putting up structures at the grassroots. Only then will Kenya Rugby
have taken a leap into the next level.
