A top Mwamba official has been sacked as Team Manager of the Lions franchise. The former official often an outspoken critic of the KRFU and close crony of new chairman Michael Mwangi Muthee has been fired for misappropriating funds meant for players allowances and carrying away water meant for player training.
The former Kenya player and currently self styled sports consultant has been given 7 days to return the money or face arrest by the police. His MOR colleagues are yet to come to terms with this new development.
This must be a big blow to Mwangi as his Mwamba people seem hell bent on ruining his fresh start to bringing accountability and transparency to Kenya Rugby.

so where are those DIE hard Mwamba guys to defend one of their own. I hope he gets kicked out as a club official also.
The problem in rugby is that we want to be friends with people too much, we do not want people to face the law. I'm sure he will be back as a TM next season or in another position.
