The Michael Mwangi Muthee show continues

There's a new honcho in town and sweeps thoroughly. Michael Mwangi Muthee is making his mark as Chairman and his broom is bringing change to Kenya Rugby.

Whether the change is positive or not nobody knows but Mwangi's gung ho methods are rubbing many people the wrong way and raising eyebrows.

Gone Auka, Benja, Tottie and Newton. Who next? Certainly Kenya 15's management are in the radar and their performance will closely be watched.

One thing for sure is that with Muthee Mwangi and his band of cowboys, there is never a dull nor defining moment.

dude did a harlequin take your chick or something.. ama its the lack of success at the club you are associated with....chill and speak objectively

Greg, the obese armchair analyst strike again.Your obseesion with Quins is annoying. Will you ever speak objectively? Every time you type, its genocide to the keyboards that have to bear with you typing. Are you related to Esta Murugi or something? Your every word is bile even to the impartial

Benjaz time was up but the way the handled it was appalling1 after all benja and his team brought to Kenya 7z that was disrespectful. FIRED thats a load of bull. well, go mitch go is all i can say hope you make us proud by discovering new talent.

All great teams have gone through a slump one time or another, both New Zeland and South Africa Slumped after winning their respective sevens tour series and yet neither Paul Tru nor Gordon Tijens got fired. For all the success Benja has brought to this country HE DESERVES BETTER.

as much as i agree Benja's time was up ,Mwangi Muthee has to use the right and due procedures to execute his policies ,all he has suceeded is to cause confusion and embrassed mitch, and cardo in the process

kweli, its was time for change but this is a poor way of sacking benja,a statement or some spin from Kenya Rugby Union wud have been betta,a really bad show for shareman muthee, aPR disaster

Lets c hmmmmm...
- 7s mgt fired by a Director without Board being aware.
- Benja will have to be paid atleast 300k less tax in lieu of notice
- GM on paid leave for 75 days (not fired) then you have to pay him salo 3 months before you let him go.
- Marketing consultant for SS & RSS fired and replaced by some guy who used to run Kabeberi 7s.
- SS Committee Chair and Treasurer dismissed infront of the sponsor and Rabr rewarded for partly funding MM campaigns
- Rabar (no idea) in running rugby tournament wants to bring a tournament manager from dubai to an event than has run succesfully for 15 years oh not to mention import fireworks for 3 million.
- Kenya Cup expansion that cannot be explained by any fundamentals but as a populist statement.
- have just been spending and have not secured a single sposnor from teh time they came into office.
- HF pulling out of financing forligi ndogo due to institution risk by all these shenanigans
- Western Union sponsorship for 7s circuit uncertain.
- Cronies who want change for their own sake (its our time to eat) Jack - bro found selling fake BRSS tickets, Kwiks - could not account for player allowances, Mbai - needs to be administered himself let alone run a core sevens team, Rombo - no words...

What the hell are we smoking?

Mwamba mwamba Mwamba ina bamba
We can see here clearly that people from big clubs are scared of the power of Mwamba....

Now lets wait and see Kenyan rugby going places

MM was a failure while he was a Director and now we are watching him failing as Chairman. Never even managed to take his club Mwamba to another level, making it a one-man-show.

Anonymous 1:57 pm has got in right.
With the amount of money that went into these campaigns one is left to believe that these guys have to 'pay themselves back'

Watch this space as we see Safari Sevens failing this year - then people will start asking for change.

Too little too late.

KRU=KFF..

@Anon 2.13pm yes we are afraid, we are afraid of Mwamba's ability to continuously press the self destruct button, it happened at club level, its happening at national level. The muthee-adembesa partnership is similar to the moi-kamotho partnership in the days of KANU's dictatorship. Yes kenya rugby is going places, to the place of controversy. as Anon 2.19pm puts it KRU=KFF

Who tells you the board was not aware?
Benja's comments on tv yesterday show why he Shld never be put in any mgt position.
GM's contract had to be respected, the union is not a kiosk.
Marketing consultant was replaced by a sports marketing firm that successfully managed kabeberi.
Rabar runs east africas biggest entertainment and event management firm.
Expansion was passed via an sgm resolution that all clubs voted for, there was no vote against.
Toyota has pumped in millions for age grade rugby.
HF has never been the financer.
Western Union are considering increasing their sponsorship.
I guess ur crying coz ur now not eating.

Stop smoking that shit in the pavilion.

I still do not understand how we got these guys in charge of rugby.

They are even making guys like Sabwa and the former GM look good.

Corruption fights back. Give facts on how MM is stealing like the old office, not rumours or gossip.

Anonymous said...

root cause..london irb circuit where it is said benja threw tantrams at MM

Anonymous 12:36 p.m. tell us more!

And what did RO and his crew do to be embarrassed in front of the Safari Sevens Sponsor?

First it was Bukusi, then Oruo, then Chabeda (secretary), then Sabwa, then the former GM, now we are seeing roadside decisions.

Kenyan rugby is like a mexican soap.

Greg - Quins are the Kenya Cup Champions! like it or not.

As soon as Mitch Fails, Cado will take over and have Obonyo as his assistant.

Come all within, come all without, you aint seen nothing like the mighty quin!

Who tells you the board was not aware?
- Wrong, Board was not aware even actign GM.
Benja's comments on tv yesterday show why he Shld never be put in any mgt position
- he is allowed to express his opinion. Manage the ego just like people have to manage murinhos ego.
GM's contract had to be respected, the union is not a kiosk.
- sawa pay his dues. btw if he goes to court under employment act, you have to provide reason for sacking.
Marketing consultant was replaced by a sports marketing firm that successfully managed kabeberi.
- Kabeberi the worst run tournament in the circuit. this is a 70million tournament not 70k tournament.
Rabar runs east africas biggest entertainment and event management firm.
- Major contract is project fame tusker. many other people terminating the company. and if he was, he would atleast pay his employees and suppliers.
Expansion was passed via an sgm resolution that all clubs voted for, there was no vote against.
- Learn your governance structure. that was not a mwamba AGM or a meeting of biomedica. You must give notice of what is to be discussed at an SGM. we can see how you intend to run the union. Roadside declarations.
Toyota has pumped in millions for age grade rugby.
- Toyato deal to give 2m to rugby academy development was sealed in January this year by Auka. launch was to be in april. way before Shareman was elected.
HF has never been the financer.
- Fact: HF was financing deal. prove otherwise. we have in our possession documents stating so. They pulled out cos of institution risk and stupid articles shareman is paying ayumba ayodi and charles ouko to write.
Western Union are considering increasing their sponsorship.
- hahahaha. hoepfully Innocent Moturi and Willy Ombisi will pull that one out of the fire for rugbys sake.
I guess ur crying coz ur now not eating.
- There is nothing to eat. shock an all of you who are there to eat.

Stop smoking that shit in the pavilion.
- what is the pavillion? oh teh one at impala? how can you compare that with our modern club house. pole very horible guess...

Has Shareman come back? Can he say something? As for Niga step in when your "Boss" is away ama your waiting for Frank Sabwa to suggest a plan......and you thought "Queens" was the problem? Wrong the problem is on Uhuru Higheway from Machine to Mwamba. As for Kwiks and Jack the two jaluos are pickpokets for hire....LMBAO

This negative publicity is not good for rugby. Mwangi could be doing the right thing but the how matters alot.. He needs to work on his transition skills. Case in point s7s. Please name one tournament as big as safari 7s that mike rabar runs? I think Mike rabar is Perfect example Why we need to secure our sport by changing the constitution. Mike rabar is a stranger with zero rugby interest and 100% interest in making money for his business. And now he runs our main income earner. Benjamin is Just a benja.. For those who know him know he cant train a dog to even poopan ...now do we support him know... Give mitch and cardo a chance .. But johny... From where!??????????

Barbara kokonya.,.,, i hea she's mwangis sideplate....

Mitch Ocholla is out of touch with reality. After putting Andola on the Bench in favour of his brother during the Super series, Andola gets selected to the national team!
