Since nobody missed me, let me welcome myself back. Word on the street is that KRU is ditching it's new lover Safaricom and going back to Tusker as the sponsor of the Safari Sevens. Apparently, the move to Nyayo Stadium did not go well with Safaricom who spent upwards of Ksh. 15M on "New Stands" at the RFUEA grounds, the traditional venue. Do we really need more numbers at the games, or are we happy with the quality we get on the grounds?

The sponsor is key to the funds. KRU should either comply with safaricom or shut up. Nyayo is key to the masses but the masses dont spend even for cheap, hence the returns are not guaranteed. Though Rugby is not formally elitist, many people associated with rugby are not cheap. Why take the game to masses for cheap instead of looking for a good return on investment. Those who have it will make it to RFUEA for the games and village and class. The Union took Kenya vs Zimbabwe game to Nyayo promising to pay the players all arrears since money was to flow, NOTHING paid up to date and safari 7s wont be any different. Excuses like preventing Quins bar from making a kill or paying 500K for Impala Pitch as opposed to Nyayo's 200K are just meaningless. Safaricom deserves the right to hold SSS at RFUEA until their 15M investment is fully recovered i.e. 4 years, whereas the union deserves to make gains in the gates and the village hence nyayo gates for 300 per day or RFUEA for 1000 a day..Remember, the number of fans wont change much either, SSis a serious event/investment and so MMM & Co. I think u got some brain, use a little bit.
the deejay has already booked carnivour grounds for the after party. it woould seem any move by KRU leads to vested intrests
Very sad indeed that the Deejay is so calculating, let the KRU Chair MMM book another hotel for the after party since Homeboyz have already taken Carnivore grounds. This idiot DJ cant pay that and hence will have to withdraw then give way to transparency. He is so nagging, lets chase him out of rugby
just for the record Omwela annouced last year the gate made 19 million shillings ,net profit was 40 million ,i doubt whether Nyayo and DJ can pull that off
