Experienced scrum-half Peter Stringer has revealed he still holds hopes of returning to the international fold with Ireland, despite failing to secure his place at the World Cup. The 34-year old is stuck on 98 caps for his country, although, Stringer has insisted he still harbours hopes of representing Ireland before he hangs his boots up.
The Saracens man has been impressive since moving to the London club and his form could well persuade Declan Kidney to hand him a recall ahead of the Six Nations. Stringer was forced to move to England in search of regular first-team action, after the emergence of Conor Murray and Tomas O’Leary at Munster.
